The following letter was provided by a close family member of my recent client, who passed away in December 2022. Please contact me if you would like me to to arrange for you to speak with him directly, as he can provide more information about the care I provided for his father.

Letter of Recommendation

 To whom it may concern,

This is to confirm that Dave Zischke provided caregiving and care coordinating services for my 88 year old father from January 2019 through December 2022. Dad’s health was generally good in 2018, but his dementia began to complicate his care in 2022.

Dave’s responsibilities included:

• Staffing and management of of care, (initially just Dave, but eventually 5 caregivers).

• Doctor visits, and changes in Bill’s health and medications.

• Household chores coordinated.

• Meals are regularly made and taken and of high nutrition.

• Car is well maintained and safe.

• Any household maintenance needs are attended to.

• Bill visits with family members on a regular basis, in person or by zoom.

• Clothes and appearance are orderly, neat, and clean, and not too worn J.

From the beginning Dave showed a deep understanding and appreciation of Dad and quickly built a bond of friendship and trust.  Dad would eagerly take off with Dave on many daily walks through town or drives out to watch the surfers at Kronkite.  He also ensured that Dad’s meals were tasty and nutritious.  He is also a good communicator and was in touch with the family at all the right times. Many laughs we had by all.

We were fortunate to have had Dave be part of our lives and to take such wonderful care of our father.  Dave’s compassion for Dad’s condition was always foremost.   And his willingness to drop anything and attend to the inevitable changes in his condition allowed Dad to live independently and at home, as he wished.  What a gift.

I recommend Dave enthusiastically as a care giver and care coordinator of the highest caliber.
